Bringing Art, Ideas and Stories to Life.
Saltmarket Publishing is an independent Glasgow-based publishing house, born out of the creative spirit and cultural legacy of SOGO Magazine. Building on those foundations, we continue to champion original voices, distinctive artists and stories that reflect the character, creativity and cultural identity of Scotland.
Our approach to publishing is driven by a passion for art, photography, music, literature and the people behind them. We believe in producing books that are not only beautifully presented but also have something meaningful to say – books that capture personalities, preserve memories, celebrate creative talent and offer a lasting record of our cultural heritage.
To date, we have published two highly acclaimed titles: Tommy McGoran's A Glasgow Memoir, a personal and evocative journey through the people, places and spirit of Glasgow, and Brian McFie, a beautifully produced art book celebrating the extraordinary creative work of the artist and musician.
Both publications reflect our commitment to quality, individuality and projects with a strong sense of identity and purpose.
At Saltmarket Publishing, we are always interested in discovering new talent, developing exciting collaborations and bringing worthwhile stories and creative projects to a wider audience. With Glasgow at our heart, we aim to publish books that resonate locally while reaching readers far beyond Scotland.ct.
